Iron infusion therapy is a medical treatment used when oral iron supplements are ineffective, not tolerated, or when faster replenishment is required. At our clinic, iron infusions are provided only after a medical consultation and assessment to ensure safety and medical appropriateness. What Is an Iron Infusion? An iron infusion delivers iron directly into your bloodstream through an IV. This allows your body to absorb iron efficiently and bypasses common side effects of oral supplements such as nausea, constipation, or stomach upset. Who May Benefit from Iron Infusion? You may be a candidate if you have: Iron deficiency anemia Low ferritin levels with symptoms Poor response or intolerance to oral iron Heavy menstrual bleeding Gastrointestinal absorption issues Fatigue, weakness, dizziness, or shortness of breath related to low iron Medical conditions requiring iron optimization (as determined by your provider) A consultation is required to confirm eligibility.
